Ins:

Darwin Nunez (Benfica)

Ronald Araujo (FC Barcelona)

Boubacar Kamara (Marseille)

Antony (Ajax)

Outs:

Anthony Martial

Phil Jones

Juan Mata

Jesse Lingard

Edinson Cavani

Dean Henderson

Starting with my outgoings for this upcoming window, I feel like there are a number of players that will be leaving United.

First of all, I see Anthony Martial leaving United on a permanent basis this summer. He was struggling at the beginning of this season and he did not find the game time he wanted before going out on loan to Sevilla. I think despite all his time at United, it would be beneficial for both the club and Martial if he moved on after returning from Spain at the end of the season. He still has a strong potential and he will score goals if he finds the right move.

Then the second outgoing of the summer I feel could be Dean Henderson. The young keeper had found a lot of success towards the back end of last season, with some extended runs in the starting eleven. However, after a long time out with covid, David De Gea reclaimed his spot and found excellent form again.

I think if Henderson wants to be a number one goalkeeper and have a strong place in a starting eleven, he would need to do it elsewhere. I think a loan spell for Henderson would help him find his form again and he could return to fight for his place again, although if he left on a permanent basis, it could raise United’s funds by a healthy amount.

United have a number of players that are out of contract at the end of this season. Firstly, Juan Mata, who is likely to leave once his contract expires, and he will most likely go to a Spanish side where he will find a lot more time on the pitch.

Jesse Lingard’s contract also runs out in June, and despite his many years at the club, he has proved that he will prevail at another club at this stage in his career after a fantastic spell at West Ham last season. And finally, Edinson Cavani, who has been great in his time at United, but I personally do not feel he will renew his contract, but he would be great to keep around at the club.

Phil Jones is my final outgoing. He has been at the club longer than the majority of the squad, although he has always been set back by his injuries. He still has a lot left in him and a move to a lower-table Premier League side would do wonders for Jones.

Moving onto my potential incomings for the summer window, I think that a window where United sign an extra central defender, a defensive midfielder and at least two forwards, can be deemed successful. That is why my first signing would be Darwin Nunez.

The forward who is currently at Benfica is a magnificent talent at such a young age of 22. The Uruguayan has scored twenty goals in 22 matches in the current Liga Portugal campaign. United should do everything they can to bring him to the club and nurture him into their new starting forward, especially with Ronaldo growing older.

The other forward that I believe United should bring in this summer would be Antony from Ajax. The Brazilian is best suited on the wings and at only 22-years-old, he could provide a lot for United. He could push both Marcus Rashford and Jason Sancho forward as he challenges for their spot in the side, and would even work alongside Anthony Elanga in the starting lineup.

The defensive signing I would bring to the club this summer is Ronald Araujo. The Barcelona defender has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford recently and one of United’s most successful defenders, Rio Ferdinand, has encouraged the signing. To simply add depth and a young talent, there is no reason why United do not try to sign the defender.

The final signing I think United should sign this summer is the defensive midfielder Boubacar Kamara from Marseille. The Red Devils have been uncertain about their defensive midfield position and need more solidity in the middle of the park. I think there are a number of great signings that could fill this role at United, but I singled out Kamara as I see him as the best candidate to be able to shield our defence.
