The January transfer window’s deadline looms after a tiresome transfer window for Manchester United fans who were hoping for incomings.

The current rumour circulating about United’s business would see Yves Bissouma make his way to Old Trafford to join Rangnick’s midfield forces.

It is said that Brighton are demanding £37 million to mark the Mali international’s departure after spending the last three years at the club.

Many clubs are looking to bolster their squads with the addition of Bissouma, leaving United no easy pathway to the 25-year-old’s signature.

Alongside Manchester United, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool are all also rumoured to be in the running, although Aston Villa are reported to wait until the summer to finance the move, giving United a boost in signing the young midfielder.

Yves Bissouma has been at the height of the rumours as United have been seeking the signing of a midfielder for the previous transfer windows with the defensive midfielder role being a significant weakness for the club.

With only 18 months remaining on his five-year contract at Brighton, Bissouma could ultimately land the move he has been pursuing.

As things stand, United appear to be reserved in the pursuit of Bissouma with the papers saying that Tottenham are in ‘intense talks’ with the player.

The move could be hijacked at any time during the day with so many clubs interested. Brighton appear to be calm about the situation, with reports saying they will only allow him leave for a ‘substantial fee’.

With the minutes counting down to the end of the window, will United finally start spending to strengthen the squad ahead of a tough battle for a top four spot in the Premier League.

Yves Bissouma is definitely a name to keep an eye on as we all eagerly await some incomings and the final deadline.
